Over a splendid weekend in Sabah, we brought people together to find ways on how to make the rescuers job much easier and efficient in rescuing the victim and also in preparing the people on how to deal with disaster such as earthquakes and floods. It is frequent that whenever we listen to the news, there is always not enough help especially when it comes to rescuing mission, food and medicine when disaster strikes. There is no one to be blame because usually as you know, there will always be a communication failure due to the damages that has been done. It is quite difficult to predict when disaster happens therefore it is better to always be fully prepared. Therefore, Make weekend Escape Disaster’s Mission is to empower participants from multidisciplinary background to come together to find a solution that could improve the degree of disaster preparation and recovery.

Makeweekend turned the whole hall into a real live board game to simulate disaster and give better insights to participants. They learn what are the challenges during rescue operations and over the weekend, multidisciplinary teams will work together to find humancentered solutions to problems faced by rescuer during disaster relief operations. Solutions can vary from better rescuing system using technology such as web based applications, drones or improved emergency radios.
